AirAsia announced its 21st route between Malaysia and Indonesia: a direct route to and from Labuan Bajo.
Featuring three weekly flights, the new route is also AirAsia Malaysia’s first international flight to the Indonesian island destination.
The Labuan Bajo route is available for booking on the AirAsia MOVE app as well as through its official website from now until 14 July 2024 for the travel period between 3 September 2024 and 29 March 2025.
Before officially flying the route on 3 September, AirAsia offers free seats from Kuala Lumpur to Labuan Bajo for a limited time. All-in fares range from as low as RM179 one way and IDR469 all-in one way from Labuan Bajo to Kuala Lumpur.
A breathtaking destination
Once a quaint fishing site, Labuan Bajo has blossomed into a must-visit destination for travellers seeking awe-inspiring natural beauty and cultural richness. Its breathtaking landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant coral reefs attract travellers seeking adventure, diving and island-hopping experiences.
Labuan Bajo is the gateway to the nearby Komodo National Park which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to the famous Komodo dragons. It is also known for one of the park’s highlights, Pink Beach, named for its striking colour and one of only seven such beaches in the world.
An expanding route network
At present, AirAsia Malaysia flies 13 Indonesian routes from Kuala Lumpur to Kertajati, Banda Aceh, Jakarta, Bali Denpasar, Medan, Padang, Pekanbaru, Makassar, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Balikpapan; as well as from Penang to Jakarta and Medan.
On the other hand, AirAsia Indonesia flies 11 Malaysian routes from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching; Bali to Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu; Medan to Kuala Lumpur and Penang; Lombok to Kuala Lumpur; as well as from Surabaya to Johor Bahru.
