Avianca will only transport passengers aged 14 or younger who travel with their parents or a responsible adult

MIAMI – Avianca announces that starting May 15 of this year, all passengers aged 14 or younger must travel with their parents or a responsible adult over 18 years old, duly authorized. Only those who meet this requirement will be able to board.

If tickets were purchased before May 15, 2024, passengers will board after approaching the airport counter to complete their check-in process. Thus, with the implementation of this policy, the minimum age for a minor to travel unaccompanied by a responsible adult (over 18 years old) on flights operated by Avianca is 15.

The airline recommends that all its customers confirm the requirements or authorizations necessary for the departure and entry of minors with the corresponding immigration authority of each country. Additionally, it reiterates that the service of unaccompanied minors or minors recommended is not provided on any of its routes.
