Bespoke Hotels unveils plans for Hotel Gotham Newcastle

UK: Independent hotel group Bespoke Hotels has revealed plans for Hotel Gotham Newcastle, which is scheduled to open in autumn this year.

Hotel Gotham Newcastle will launch in phases. Housed in The Old Fire Station on Pilgrim Street, 60 bedrooms, a restaurant and bar will open in late 2024.

Adjacent to the hotel in a former police station and court house, 30 bedrooms and event space accommodating up to 120 guests will launch in late 2025.

Hotel Gotham Manchester – the first location under the brand – was recently acquired by Leonardo Hotels. Bespoke will remain custodians of the Hotel Gotham brand.

Thomas Greenall, CEO at Bespoke Hotels, said: “We’re leaving Hotel Gotham Manchester in the capable hands of the Fattal Hotel Group. But – even as the likes of Manchester legends such as David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, and others have found – there comes a time when the big stars want to spread their wings, take on a new challenge, and test the adage that travel broadens the mind.

“We remain custodians of the Gotham brand, and are dedicated to its vision and reputation, putting all our efforts behind the two new locations – Hotel Gotham Newcastle and Hotel Gotham Bristol – building on our successes by exploring new opportunities that heighten our brand and bring new experiences for our guests,” he added.

Hotel Gotham Bristol is expected to open in spring 2025 with 75 bedrooms, a restaurant, spa, and a rooftop terrace bar.
