Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2019 Cruise Deals

Thinking of a Black Friday or Cyber Monday deal that’s something better than new electronics? These days everyone gets in on the shopping hype after Thanksgiving, including the cruise lines. So while everyone else is waiting out in the cold for the stores to open up, you can be saving a bundle on a trip to the warm Caribbean from the comfort of your home.

To be completely honest, the Black Friday cruise deals can be hit or miss. Some cruise lines pull out all the stops and offer some incredible deals that make it worth booking immediately. Others offer little discounts or sales that are similar to what’s regularly offered.

Below, we’ve rounded up all the deals we could find for the major cruise lines. As more sales roll-out, we will continue to update this page, so check back often.

Norwegian Cruise Lines (Updated 2019 Offer)

Each year we think Norwegian offers one of the top Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals we’ve found. This year looks to be no different.

Right now the line has a “Black Friday Sale” that runs from November 25-29, 2019.

The offer includes a huge discount of 30% off all guests on all cruises and up to five different offers depending on which level cabin you book. You can have your choice of:

  1. Free Unlimited Open Bar
  2. Free Specialty Dining
  3. Free Shore Excursion Credit
  4. Free Wi-Fi
  5. Free 3rd & 4th Guest Free

Now for the fine print — the offer is eligible across any cabin, but the higher level you select, the more free options you can choose. Studio and inside rooms can select one free offer. Oceanview rooms get two free perks. Balcony, mini-suites and Concierge, suites, and The Haven cabins can select all five offers.

And on that drink package you’ll still have to pay gratuity of 20% on the value of the drink package, which comes out to $19.80 per person, per day (that’s still all you can drink for about $20 per person). You’ll also have to pay 20% gratuity on the dining package.

Carnival Cruise Lines (Updated 2019 Offer)

Carnival has already announced a “Cyber Blowout” program that features a solid sale with some enticing offers. This deal includes all the following:

  • Up to 30% off of cruises
  • 2-for-1 deposits and up to $50 in onboard credit
  • $5 room upgrades
  • Free price protection

This special deal is on sailing from January 2020 and later. It runs through November 26, 2019.

Since this early sale ends before Black Friday, we expect a different sale after Thanksgiving.

Last year the cruise line offered the following:

  • Up to $50 in onboard credit
  • $50 reduced deposits
  • Bonus $100 onboard credit on select sailings
  • Free Price Protection

We will update this page when we find more about this year’s sales. However, we expect them to be similar to the sale that’s currently going on.

Royal Caribbean (2019 Offer Coming Soon)

Royal Caribbean has yet to announced its Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals, but that’s not a surprise. Last year they were the last of the major cruise lines to announced their deals.

In 2018, the cruise line offered 60% off of a second guest and up to $300 in instant savings. How much you saved depended on the cruise you book. On sailings of five nights or less, you could save $50 for interior and oceanview cabins, $75 for balconies and $125 for suites. On sailings six nights or longer, you could save $75 savings for interior and oceanview, $200 for balconies and $300 for suites.

Right now the cruise line is offering a simple 60% off second guests and you can get up to $50 off your trip using promo code “DEAL”.

We will continue to look and update readers when Royal Caribbean announces their 2019 Black Friday deals.

MSC Cruises (Updated 2019 Offer)

MSC may not be as well-known as some of it’s larger rivals, but it is among the fastest-growing cruise lines in the world.

One reason for that growth is that the line offers some amazing deals. Case in point: it’s 2019 Black Friday offer.

This year’s sale offers three big freebies:

  • Free drinks (the “Easy” drink package)
  • Free wi-fi (standard Internet package)
  • Free gratuities for first and second passengers

All told, the cruise line says that this can save you up to $764 per stateroom on a 7-night Caribbean cruise.

The sale begins on November 26th and runs through December 4th. You can find more details and book here.

Princess Cruises (2019 Offer Coming Soon)

Last year, Princess offered one of the best cruises we saw during the holiday shopping season. While there’s been no announcement of this year’s sale, it is sure to be a strong offer.

In 2018, Princess started with $1 deposits on Cyber Monday. From there, the offers broke down into two categories: those trips sailing soon and those departing a bit later.

The cruise line’s “Cyber Event” offered savings of up to $900 per stateroom on select sailings for Winter 2018 to Spring 2019. As well, there was an offer for $279 fares for the third and fourth passengers on some cruises.

If you planned to sail later, then the sale was for three free perks. On these trips, everyone in the staterooms received:

  • Free stateroom location upgrade
  • Free gratuities (valued at up to $15.50 per guest, per day)
  • Free onboard spending money (valued at up to $200 per guest, for all guests)

We’re not sure what the cruise line will plan in 2019, but it would be tempting to get free gratuities and onboard spending money again.

Celebrity Cruises (2019 Offer Coming Soon)

Before Black Friday/Cyber Monday, Celebrity is offering $100 to spend for each person, plus 50% off 3rd and 4th guests. In addition, they have a perked-based offer where depending on what type of fare you book, you can get up to four perks included (beverage package, wi-fi, prepaid gratuities, more onboard credit).

While its 2019 Black Friday sale hasn’t been announced on it’s website, last year it was similar to what is currently offered.

In 2018 the cruise line offered a “perk”-based Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale, plus $25 deposits.

The number of perks you received depended on the class of room you book. Inside rooms receive no perks, while booking an oceanview or veranda suite received the choice of one perk. As well, booking a “Concierge” or “AquaClass” cabin also gave you one perk. Those booking suites (which excludes the $25 deposit) got all four of the perks listed above.

We will update when we hear more about this year’s sale.
