Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen completes two-year refurb

Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen has announced the completion of an extensive two-year refurbishment programme across all guest rooms and public areas.

This refurbishment aims to position the hotel as “a front-runner in luxury accommodations within the region”.

Each of the 87 guest rooms have benefited from 50 inch interactive TVs and new desks, chairs, beds, and bedside tables, alongside updated carpets and blinds.

The timing of these upgrades align with the ongoing developments along Union Street and other urban revitalisation projects within Aberdeen.

Copthorne’s refurbishment programme also revitalised its public spaces, bringing art from local talents such as Gabriela Reith, Allan Watson, and John Walters, selected by Sally Reaper from Smart Art Agency.

Jamie Snowdon, general manager of Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen, said: “We are immensely proud of the transformation our hotel has undergone. These renovations not only reflect our commitment to excellence, but also our desire to stay aligned with Aberdeen’s growth.

“The new Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen is more than just a place to stay; it’s a destination to experience the best of Scottish hospitality.”

David Hird, financial controller of Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen, added: “The changes over the last two years are astonishing. The transformation has made the hotel look incredible, and I can’t wait to see the public’s reaction to our enhancements.”
