Cruise Plus recently teamed up with Ponant to introduce its new Pearls of the Society Islands route under Luxury by Cruise Plus.
Ponant business development manager Danny Giles brought four travel agents and two Cruise Plus ambassadors on a familiarisation (FAM) tour of the new ‘Pearls of the Society Islands.’
The tour was conducted via Luxury by Cruise Plus’ vessel Paul Gauguin.
The ship sailed from Papeete, Tahiti, stopping at Huahine, Raiatea, Taha’s Motu Mahana, Bora Bora ,and Moorea.
Participants returned to Papeete for a post stay in Tahiti prior to their flight home.
Mark Henderson, Cruise Plus’ head of specialist product said: “This FAM trip is really special, no other operator has offered this experience in a FAM trip before and we know that our agents and team are ecstatic to have this opportunity.
“Giving agents the chance to cruise around French Polynesia with its heavenly islets and idyllic atolls is something that would not be possible without our close and valued relationship with Ponant.”
This is the second year Cruise Plus has partnered with Ponant for a FAM trip, with agents venturing to Belize with the brand in 2023.
This year, the partners hand-selected luxury cruise agents to introduce the Pearls of the Society Islands route.
Launched in 2023, the Luxury by Cruise Plus portfolio includes luxury cruise partners who each offer a collection of exquisite ships and itineraries. Ponant, among others, holds a firm place in this portfolio.
