Deadly Mass Shooting and Explosions at Moscow Concert Venue

Explosions and a fire in the Crocus City Hall concert venue dominate breaking news from Moscow, Russia.

The Crocus City Hall is a music venue administratively located in Krasnogorsk Urban Settlement in the Krasnogorsky District. The businessman Aras Agalarov opened the venue on 25 October 2009 and named it after the singer Muslim Magomayev.

Krasnogorsky District is a city in the Moscow region of Russia. It has many popular attractions, including Muzey Tekhniki Vadima Zadorozhnogo, Museum-Estate Arkhangelskoye, Каро Vegas 22, making it well worth a visit.

Visiting tonight’s concert at this popular venue may have been a deadly decision for some.

Video footage showed several people lying motionless in pools of blood outside the hall. The Kommersant newspaper posted footage showing smoke.

According to reports from Russia’s state news agencies RIA Novosti and Tass, multiple individuals in combat attire fired weapons. Various videos shared on Russian media and Telegram channels captured the sound of continuous gunfire.

One video depicted two armed men moving through a shopping mall, while another showed a man inside an auditorium where gunshots were heard amidst claims of arson. Governor Andrei Vorobyov of the Moscow region established a task force to address the situation without providing further immediate information.

According to Russian media reports, riot police units are being deployed to the vicinity while individuals are evacuated.
