Two members of Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA’s UK operations team have been promoted to Vice President level. Douglas Winfield and Steve Coulam have both been named Vice President – Operations for two of Aimbridge’s UK regions, stepping up from their previous positions as Directors of Operations & Quality.
The pair have been with the company, formerly known as Interstate Hotels & Resorts, for a number of years.
Douglas joined Aimbridge as a general manager in 2018 and led the teams at Holiday Inn Stevenage and Hotel Indigo Glasgow, before becoming Director of Operations & Quality in 2021.
Steve joined the company in 2014, and then after working as a Cluster General Manager operating a group of IHG branded hotels, returned to Aimbridge in 2022 as Director of Operations & Quality.

David Anderson, divisional president of Aimbridge EMEA, said: “We’re pleased to see Douglas and Steve both promoted to Vice President Operations for two of our regions within the UK.
“At Aimbridge we pride ourselves on providing a place for people to come and grow with us, nurturing and encouraging talented individuals to flourish and achieve their full potential.
“For example, in the last year alone, at least half of our new general manager appointments have been internal promotions, something we’re very proud of.
“Douglas’ and Steve’s progression within the company is testimony to this commitment and we’re excited to see them both continue to develop in their new roles.”
Douglas will be responsible for overseeing the operation of properties within a portfolio of more than 20 hotels across the UK in locations including Leeds, Edinburgh, London Heathrow and Aberdeen.
Steve’s portfolio has 18 properties in locations including Belfast, Dublin, the Lake District and Durham.
