First Look: the new Mayfair hotel and members’ club joining Auberge Resorts Collection

Auberge Resorts Collection has been appointed by Reuben Brothers to manage Cambridge House, a new hotel and members’ club opening in Mayfair in late 2025.

Cambridge House encompasses several historic buildings, including a Grade I-listed Palladian-style townhouse commissioned by the 2nd Earl of Egremont in 1756, built to entertain the political elite of the time. Located between Green Park and Shepherd Market, the 102-room hotel and its private members’ club will be classically English, whilst also drawing on a range of eclectic influences. Two designers will bring the property to life: Jean-Louis Deniot is overseeing the transformation of the hotel, and Laura Gonzalez is designing the club’s bars, dining venues, spa and nine members-only club rooms.

The dining scene at the hotel will be diverse, with an open-air jasmine courtyard and a brasserie-style restaurant in an elegant, Georgian ballroom setting.

Informed by Britain’s Roman bathhouses, a double-level spa will introduce Auberge’s holistic wellness offering to London. Extensive hydrotherapy facilities, two heated swimming pools and seven treatment rooms will be complemented by a circular relaxation lounge, centred around a fire pit. A gym, activity studios, wet zones, heat rooms and bathhouse meanwhile will encourage an element of social connection integral to the spa’s wellness concept.

The hotel will also feature an array of event spaces, including a Georgian-style ballroom.

“Reuben Brothers’ vision for Cambridge House is incredibly inspiring and we are honoured to have been chosen to usher this uniquely British property into its next chapter as a luxury hotel,” says Dan Friedkin, Chairman of Auberge Resorts Collection. “Adding such an iconic Mayfair destination to our growing portfolio is also an exciting step forward in our focused expansion into Europe.”

Jamie Reuben, Principal of Reuben Brothers, adds: “Cambridge House is one of the most exciting projects my family and I have ever brought to fruition. Our vision for this special property is not just to offer a new destination, but a new level of hospitality and something that London has not seen before. We chose Auberge Resorts Collection for the brand’s unrivalled spirit of intention – to provide a distinct and unparalleled luxury hospitality experience.”
