Five Luxe poised to open its doors on Dubai’s beachfront

Five Luxe is gearing up to open its doors on Dubai’s beachfront, introducing 222 new rooms within a 55-storey tower.

The resort’s architecture is courtesy of ae7, while interior design sees the firm coming together with Russell Sage Studio and MKDesign.

Rooms and suites are decked out with the extravagance for which Dubai is known, with the Epic Pool Party Suite home to its own XL pool and the Fab Suite featuring its own DJ booth and dance floor. Dubai-inspired design details are on show in the exotic Habibi Suite, while wellness is the focus in the Ultimate Spa Suite, which features a spa, hot tub, sauna and steam room. In addition to rooms and suites, 276 private residences are also on offer.

Five Luxe will be home to a range of additional amenities, including a Playa Pacha beach club from The Pacha Group and seven distinct F&B and nightlife venues. Ronin will be a venue with live cooking teppanyaki and a sushi bar, while craft beer venue Goose Island Tap House will offer a selection of ales and light bites. For a taste of French sophistication, Tête à Tête will open its doors in August 2024 with a Monte Carlo bistro ambiance and jewel-box bar.

The resort’s ReFive Spa will feature an indoor pool, rooftop terrace and a gym with an outdoor terrace, alongside healing quartz beds and Ayurvedic treatments.

“As we introduce Five Luxe, we celebrate the birth of a fresh icon within the FIVE lineage,” says Aloki Batra, CEO of Five Hospitality and The Pacha Group. “Featuring unparalleled ultra-luxurious accommodations, distinctive signature suites, locally-inspired and globally recognised culinary delights, and the fusion of the Ibizan lifestyle into Dubai through the unveiling of Playa Pacha, along with the exciting anticipation of Lío Dubai in 2025, Five Luxe promises an extraordinary journey filled with a variety of captivating ‘Vibe at Five’ experiences.”

A further addition to Five Luxe will arrive in 2025, in the form of Lío Dubai, a Spanish cabaret experience paired with Mediterranean fine dining. Designed as a “floating oyster emerging from the sea”, the venue’s architecture is inspired by that of a seashell, with a roof that reflects the hues of shells and pearls. As guests step into the venue, they embark on a journey into the deep sea, with the entrance mirroring the transition from sand to water through wooden mural panels. The tequila and cocktail bar area captures the essence of water, with turquoise tones and textured brass finishes evoking the movement of waves. Inside, the main space is filled with illuminated crystal balls mimicking water bubbles and mosaic floors mirroring ocean currents. Sculptural metal elements and decorative murals meanwhile showcase mythical mermaids and mermen. On the terrace, echinoids inspire three-dimensional ceramic tiles adorning the bar and furniture, completing the immersive aquatic experience at Lío Dubai.
