US: Global investment company AJU CONTINUUM has partnered with Kasa Living to reopen the former Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles as STILE.
In December 2023, the former Ace Hotel announced on social media it would “cease operations soon”.
Kasa assumed management of the property in February. During the transition, AJU has investment in technological and aesthetic upgrades of the hotel, including new wifi, curated workers by South Korean artist Jibin Im, and a new wine bar from Brooklyn-based SAUCED.
STILE Downtown Los Angeles by Kasa offers 182 guest rooms, 5,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a rooftop splash pool and lounge, and an 1,600 seat theatre for live entertainment.
The United Theater on Broadway, directly connected to the hotel, will continue to operate independently under the management of AJU.
CEO of Kasa, Roman Pedan, said: “We at Kasa are honoured to be entrusted with the management of such an iconic asset in an important LA neighbourhood. Early results are off to a strong start but we will never be satisfied with our performance and are on a forever quest to improve the hospitality experience for our guests and the profitability for our partners.”
Jaisun Ihm, CEO at AJU Continuum, said: “Partnering with Kasa has introduced us to a modern, efficient approach to hotel management, seamlessly integrating with our lifestyle accommodations brand, STILE. Kasa’s proven expertise in implementing modern hospitality practices has resulted in measurable improvements to our operations and profitability. Kasa has refined traditional hotel management, enhancing profitability while delivering the perfect balance of efficiency, guest experience, and brand DNA.”
