GBTA appoints SilverDoor’s Pauline Houston as first Chairperson of GBTA’s newly formed WINiT EMEA Chapter

The GBTA has appointed Pauline Houston, SilverDoor’s senior vice president of business development, as the first Chairperson of the GBTA WINiT EMEA Chapter.

Newly formed, the GBTA WINiT EMEA Chapter follows the broader ethos of WINiT, a non-profit organisation developed to provide support, training and advice to help guide career development within the business travel, meetings, events and exhibitions industries. The focus is on funding and driving initiatives that foster sustainability, inclusion and gender equity, to help all women within the industry thrive at every career stage.

As Chairperson Pauline will be responsible for governing and delivering the strategic vision and objectives of WINiT across EMEA. She will work alongside Catherine Logan, regional senior vice president, EMEA & APAC for GBTA, and partners across the GBTA network to communicate and deliver the benefits of the organisation throughout the EMEA region.

Commenting on her appointment, Pauline said: “I have been a long-standing admirer of the work of the GBTA WINiT programme and the valuable role it plays within the industry to advocate and guide positive change for so many of the people that work within it. As an industry body it has a responsibility as we all do, to continue to inform and deliver opportunities for all. Supporting the thousands of women who work within the industry is something I am incredibly passionate about and I look forward to working with the WINiT Strategic Advisory Board to delivering those opportunities and valuable support to our colleagues and partners across EMEA.”
