Hyde has announced it is set to open its debut UK hotel in London on 2 September 2024.
The hospitality brand said Hyde London City will bring its “electrifying energy” to a Grade II listed landmark in the middle of historic Old Bailey.
Set across seven storeys, the hotel will have 111 guestrooms, modern Turkish restaurant Leydi serving up lokanta-style hospitality, and an intimate subterranean cocktail bar.
Hyde revealed the interiors of the hotel will also reflect the “spirit of discovery intrinsic to the Hyde experience” while paying homage to the architectural heritage of the 19th Century building.
Set in the eaves of the building with a soaring 5m high ceiling, the hotel’s Headliner Suite looks to botanical motifs to inform its style, setting the scene for a convivial spot that is ideal for sundowners with its very own marble-topped bar and views over London’s rooftops.
On the ground floor, Leydi, will serve meze, home-baked pide, and Mangal-grilled meat and fish.
As the night draws in, locals and guests alike can head underground to Black Lacquer, an intimate cocktail bar where a menu of small, Tokyo-inspired plates will be set against a daily-changing soundtrack driven by the curated collection of vinyl on display.
Black Lacquer’s cultural programming will also be informed by collaborations with emerging DJs and artists.
