IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to strengthen its presence in India’s leisure destinations with the signing of a management agreement with Girija Land Ventures Pvt Ltd. This partnership will result in the development of the Crowne Plaza Resort Jim Corbett, marking the brand’s first entry in this area. The resort, scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027, will feature 181 well-appointed rooms.
The new resort will be in Ramnagar, the gateway to the renowned Jim Corbett National Park. It aims to cater to both leisure and business travelers, offering an array of amenities, including four dining options, banquet halls, and versatile meeting venues. Guests will also have access to a club lounge, spa, swimming pool, fitness center, and dedicated retail spaces for an enhanced experience.
Jim Corbett National Park, which attracts over 300,000 visitors annually, is one of India’s most popular wildlife sanctuaries and is fast emerging as a prime destination for MICE events and weddings. The hotel’s proximity to key attractions, such as the Garjiya Devi Temple and Corbett Falls, makes it an ideal choice for travelers seeking nature and culture.

IHG currently operates 47 hotels across six brands in India and plans to open 60 more in the next 3-5 years.
