Russ Brown has been named as the general manager of Marine North Berwick, part of the Marine and Lawn Hotels and Resorts collection.Brown brings over 15 years of experience in the industry. His career began at the international hotel group Radisson Blu Edwardian where he was F&B manager. He then worked his way up, becoming group director of Food and Beverage. During his time at the company, he oversaw the launch of six new independent restaurant brands across 13 hotels.
In 2021 Brown returned to the Channel Islands to work for luxury country house hotel group, Hand Picked Hotels, where he took the roles of deputy general manager and interim general manager of the five-star Grand Hotel Jersey. He was subsequently general manager of the four-star Fermain Valley Hotel Guernsey.
With a qualification in leadership from Oxford University, Brown is also “passionate about building high-functioning and engaged teams that help businesses to thrive”.
Located a 45 minute drive from Edinburgh, Marine North Berwick features 84 guest rooms, two “unique” food and beverage concepts, a spa, pool and fitness centre, as well as 6,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event spaces.
