New lifestyle hotel brand Miiro has announced the opening of its first property, Le Grand Hôtel Cayré in Paris.
Following a complete renovation in partnership with design studio Michaelis Boyd, interiors take inspiration from the old-world charm of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, drawing on the creative culture of the surrounding boulevards and avenues of the 7th arrondissement.
The hotel comprises 123 rooms and suites, envisioned with Parisian apartment-style interiors. Two suites are also available, designed in collaboration with curator Gilbert Kann.
Cassic French cuisine is served up at restaurant, Annette, which is named in tribute to Annette Kolb, the French-German writer who lived at the original Hotel Cayré for 17 years from 1944. Overseen by Bruno Brangea, the menu offers a fresh interpretation of traditional all-day brasserie dining, with contemporary twists on classic dishes.
Le Grand Hôtel Cayré is also home to Officine Bac, a hidden bar occupying the site of a former officine (pharmaceutical dispensary). Officine Bac has traded the remedies and elixirs of its history for a menu of cocktails, alongside a selection of rare spirits and infusions.
Additional spaces across the hotel include a fitness centre, lounge area The Gallery, and a Refresh Room – a Miiro brand signature – that guests can access before check-in and after check-out. The space is equipped with changing rooms, showers, toiletries, charging points and smart lockers.
“As a Parisian myself, it’s been a privilege to be involved in a project that has seen the restoration of a local landmark to its former glory, and that continues to celebrate the history and stories of the surrounding neighbourhood and its community,” says Mickael Meunier, General Manager at Le Grand Hôtel Cayré. “Now, I’m even more delighted to be opening the doors and sharing this incredible hotel with our guests – not only is it a great option for travellers wanting to discover a more authentic Paris, we’re also proud to be an integral part of the local community and hub for locals in the beloved Saint-Germain quarter.”
Neena Gupta, CEO of Miiro and Executive Director of Group Strategy and International Hospitality at InterGlobe Enterprises, also comments: “We’re incredibly proud to be opening Le Grand Hôtel Cayré, the first hotel in our characterful collection, and to be debuting the Miiro promise – to deliver brilliantly considered stays that connect guests with the local neighbourhood – in one of the world’s greatest cities. We are delighted to welcome both guests and locals to experience the charm of Le Grand Hôtel Cayré and are already looking ahead to launches in Barcelona next month, followed by London in early 2025.”
