New Marrakesh, Cebu and Medellin Flights on United Airlines

United Airlines has announced their plans to enhance their global route network. They will be introducing direct flights between New York/Newark and Marrakesh, Morocco, as well as Tokyo/Narita and Cebu, Philippines, and Houston and Medellin, Colombia. Moreover, United Airlines will be expanding their services to popular destinations such as Hong Kong, Seoul in South Korea, and Porto in Portugal. Additionally, due to a recent agreement between the Chinese and US governments, United Airlines will be adding four weekly flights connecting Los Angeles and Shanghai.

New York/Newark-Marrakesh, Morocco

Starting October 24, United will have the largest number of flights to various destinations in Africa from metro New York during the upcoming winter. Additionally, it will be the sole airline offering direct connections between the United States and Marrakesh. The new service from New York/Newark will operate three times a week on a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. This aircraft will have 46 United Polaris business class seats and 22 United Premium Plus seats, offering travelers enhanced options for their journey.

This new service further expands United’s presence in Africa, building on the airline’s existing service to Accra, Ghana; Lagos, Nigeria; and Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa.

Tokyo/Narita-Cebu, Philippines

Starting July 31, United is expanding its presence in the Philippines by introducing new year-round, non-stop service from Tokyo-Narita. United will be the sole U.S. airline offering daily flights on 737-800 aircraft to Cebu, with easy connections from United’s flights from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Newark-New York, and Houston to Tokyo-Narita. Additionally, United is the exclusive U.S. carrier providing transpacific service to the Philippines through daily flights between San Francisco and Manila. United also offers flights to Manila from Guam and Palau.

Houston-Medellin, Colombia

Starting October 27, United Airlines will introduce daily non-stop flights on Boeing 737 aircraft from Houston to Medellin, Colombia. This new route marks United’s inaugural direct connection to Medellin and further strengthens the airline’s presence in Colombia. Additionally, United already offers flights from Houston and Newark to Bogota, making it a comprehensive choice for travelers to Colombia. With this expansion, United’s network in Latin America from Houston will encompass a total of 52 destinations.

United’s 2024 International Schedule

United Airlines will be introducing a new service and increasing its flight offerings to various destinations worldwide. As part of its efforts to rebuild its mainland China schedule, United will operate four weekly flights between Shanghai and Los Angeles on a Boeing 787-9 aircraft, starting from August 29. Furthermore, by the end of October, this service will be expanded to daily flights. These additions complement United’s existing daily service between San Francisco and Shanghai, as well as San Francisco and Beijing. These expanded flight options have been made possible by an agreement between the governments of the United States and China to increase air travel between the two countries.

United is increasing its flight offerings to Hong Kong and Seoul, South Korea. On October 26, United will introduce a second daily Los Angeles-Hong Kong flight using a Boeing 787-9 aircraft. This new flight will complement its existing two daily flights from San Francisco to Hong Kong. Furthermore, starting from October 25, United will provide year-round, twice daily flights between San Francisco and Seoul. In addition, United has expanded its Tokyo service by adding a new route between Haneda and Guam, which began operating in May.

Starting May 23, United Airlines will introduce an additional daily flight from New York/Newark to Porto, Portugal on a Boeing 757-200 aircraft. United Airlines surpasses all other U.S. carriers in terms of flights to Portugal and remains the sole U.S. carrier offering service to Porto.
