New Santa Rosa to Las Vegas Flight on Alaska Airlines

Starting this fall, Alaska Airlines will be expanding its dedication to the San Francisco Bay Area by introducing direct flights between California’s wine country and Las Vegas. The service will be available daily throughout the year, commencing on October 1. This new route will now make Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport the seventh destination offering nonstop flights. Alaska Airlines will soon offer a total of 13 peak day departures, including direct flights to Los Angeles, Burbank, Orange County, Seattle, Portland, San Diego, and now Las Vegas.

Almost twenty years ago, Alaska Airlines was the first carrier to introduce commercial service to Sonoma County Airport. Since then, it has served as the largest airline at STS, welcoming nearly 2 million travelers. It is the sole airline serving all four Bay Area airports – Santa Rosa, San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland.

“Las Vegas offers visitors a wide variety of unparalleled experiences and attractions, from world-class restaurants, A-list headliners and a full calendar of sporting events, there is always something new and exciting for travelers from the Northern California’s Wine Country to discover in Las Vegas,” said H. Fletch Brunelle, vice president of marketing for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. “We are excited to welcome Alaska Airlines’ newest nonstop service from Sonoma County to Las Vegas this fall.”

The Embraer 175 jet will operate the newly established flight route connecting Santa Rosa/Sonoma and Las Vegas. This aircraft offers both window and aisle seating, eliminating the presence of middle seats. Passengers can anticipate exceptional service in a three-class cabin, featuring First Class and Premium Class options.
