NCL vice-president and main international sales and marketing official Jason Krimmel told officials there was “more to come” for Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas while speaking on panel its newest ship, Norwegian Aqua, with additional updates anticipated in the next few days. Great Stirrup Cay is, in reality, the largest real estate of all the exclusive islands out there, so there is a huge opportunity for us to grow upon the experiences we can give.” We are having a new pier built which will be available in October, and we will participate in developing more experiences,” he said. The new docking station on the island, according to Gary Anslow, NCL’s regional vice president and head of UK and Ireland, will allow the company to dock larger ships, including those in the Breakaway Plus Class. He stated,” This significantly increases our ability to introduce the Caribbean to the UK audience, and we will effectively double the number of sailings that will take place in Great Stirrup Cay next year. He continued,” He added that the Caribbean was” becoming more and more significant” for the line, especially with the launch of Norwegian Aqua, which will sail itineraries in the region.
