RICHMOND, B.C. — River Rock Casino Resort recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Since its debut in 2004 as Metro Vancouver’s premier Four-Diamond destination resort, River Rock has continued to attract guests seeking a complete entertainment experience.
The anniversary celebration took place in the main atrium, which is undergoing a complete re-imagination to accommodate the addition of Gordon Ramsay Steak, the first Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay’s fine-dining restaurants in Canada.
The event was hosted by emcee, voice actor and award-winning radio/TV host Kevin Lim and featured remarks by Matthew Anfinson, CEO of Great Canadian Entertainment, and Terrance Doyle, president and Chief Development Officer. Afinson spoke about the Great Canadian Entertainment’s $500-million investment into River Rock.
Significant upgrades are anticipated to be completed throughout the year including the opening of KOI, the latest culinary venture from restaurateur Michael Zhang; expansion of The Jade Room; addition of a new Privé Lounge; expanded conference facilities; and more. During the event, a $20,000 cheque was also presented to the Richmond Hospitality Foundation.
