Think pink this spring! Over the past couple of years, Rosé production in the Okanagan has blossomed. And thank goodness! The selection of pretty and pink wines is absolutely gorgeous and now there are enough options in Kelowna to try a new Rosé every day for a week or more.

Here are seven sexy sippers to keep you in the pink.


1. The View Winery

The View Winery is queen of pink. Here they offer not only Rosé but actually a fleet of them! Pinotage Rosé, Distraction Frizzante, and Silver Linings Rosé are all available with each offering a style to suit your every blushing whim. Located in Southeast Kelowna, the wine shop is open daily: 12:00 – 5:00 pm by reservation


2. Quails’ Gate Winery

Quails’ Gate Winery in West Kelowna is well known for their personable pink. There are two Rosés available – each a different winemaking style. Lucy’s Block is sold out, but their flagship pink is available. Dry and fruit forward, the 2020 vintage is based on Gamay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The wine shop is open daily: 11:00 am – 6:00 pm by reservation.


3. Peak Cellars

Peak Cellars (formally O’Rourke’s Peak Cellars) in Lake Country is relatively new on our wine scene and is already a shining star. The Rosé here is a more savoury style, the 2019 Pinot Noir Rosé is a bright and cheerful pale rhubarb and pink salmon colour. The aromatics steer you towards red licorice, raspberry, cranberry, pomegranate and black currant, with a delicate hint of nectarine. The wine shop is open daily: 12:00 – 7:00 pm (open until 8:00 pm Friday and Saturday) by reservation.


4. SpearHead Winery

SpearHead Winery is another gem in Kelowna’s hot Southeast Kelowna wine region. This Rosé. Ruby red grapefruit, wild strawberry, and white cherry lead into a fresh palate of cranberry and rhubarb, even mouthfeel, and a polished finish. The wine shop is open daily: 11:00 am – 5:30 pm by reservation.


5. Sperling Vineyards

Sperling Vineyards is perfectly located in the city of Kelowna. Set on a heritage property, the Sperling/Casorso family are a huge part of our local farming history. Here they are making certified organic, natural wines based on biodynamic vineyard management. The result is amazing. 6. Arrowleaf Cellars

Arrowleaf Cellars offers a pretty Sparkling Rosé with a name that will remind us of warmer days ahead. Summerstorm is a unique rosé sparkling wine made from Zweigelt grapes using the Charmat method (méthode cuvée close). This sparkling wine has aromas of strawberry, rhubarb and pink grapefruit. On the palate, the aromas are intensified through the carbonation before a refreshingly clean and dry finish. The wine shop is open daily: 11:00 am – 6:00 pm by reservation.


7. Beaumont Family Estate Winery

West Kelowna’s boutique Beaumont Family Estate Winery has a music theme and two Rosé wines to sing about. ‘Harmony’ offers delicate aromas of rose petal and sweet perfume and flavours of ripe strawberries and cherry jam. And ‘Melody” is a dry, crisp rose with aromas of strawberry, cranberry and rhubarb.
