T-Mobile announces Hilton elite status, travel discounts and more for all customers

T-Mobile announced some great new lucrative benefits for customers, including hotel elite status and travel discounts.

While T-Mobile already has perks like discounts on streaming services, T-Mobile Tuesdays discounts and free inflight texting and Wi-Fi, this new suite of benefits will make the wireless carrier even more appealing to travelers.

On Tuesday, T-Mobile launched its new Magenta Status program. Think of it as a loyalty program where, instead of silver, gold or platinum, the only status level is an intense magenta hue.

“At T-Mobile, our customers are at the center of everything we do — they’ll never be treated like a number. When you’re part of the magenta family, we want to ensure you feel like the VIP you are,” Mike Katz, president of marketing, strategy and products at T-Mobile, said in a press release. “Now, T-Mobile customers can flash their Magenta Status to unlock unparalleled experiences that can’t be found anywhere else with the brands they love and use every day … which can add up to $1500 a year in extra value.”

All T-Mobile customers are eligible for these perks beginning now, and you can sign up for Magenta Status through T-Mobile’s T Life app to unlock these benefits. Let’s take a look at each benefit and what you need to do to sign up:

To keep your Silver status past the initial expiration date, you need four stays or 10 total nights at Hilton properties. You can also get complimentary Hilton Silver status with the Hilton Honors American Express Card.

To sign up, start your Hilton hotel booking through the T Life app. This will take you to Hilton’s webpage to book and authenticate you as a T-Mobile customer, granting you automatic Silver elite status.

Magenta Status members also get a 15% discount on stays across Hilton’s worldwide hotel brands — including Hampton and Waldorf Astoria.

When you rent a car, the most annoying thing — and easiest thing to forget — is filling it up before you return it.

T-Mobile makes that a thing of the past for Magenta Status members, who no longer need to fill up the gas tank when they rent from Dollar or recharge their electric vehicle when they rent through Hertz before returning it.

This perk is available at most U.S. airports, and you will need to start your booking through the T Life app to take advantage of this time- and money-saver.

Other perks

Magenta Status members can also purchase a $5 movie ticket to a specified new release for everyone on their account every month and get 25% off select Live Nation shows when they make their purchase through the T Life app.

Bottom line

T-Mobile promises this is just the beginning for Magenta Status and that the benefits, deals and partners will only improve over time. Learn more about Magenta Status on T-Mobile’s website and start using these new benefits today.
