With its first residence in Texas, Waldorf Astoria Hotels &, Resorts is introducing “howdy” to the Lone Star State. The Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country, which is scheduled to open in 2027, will have an extra 87 Waldorf Astoria Apartments, along with 60 hotel bedrooms and suites, according to Hilton. In the Texas Hill Country wines area, only one hour from downtown Fredericksburg, the property will be set on more than 100 hectares. Hilton’s filing of Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country is a significant step for the company, which represents Hilton’s largest hotel collection in the condition and its growth of its luxury brands across the Americas, according to Amy King, vice president of comfort and mixed-use development at Hilton. The property will feature five food-and-beverage concepts, including a pool bar, a grab-and-go juice bar, a specialty restaurant, a separate bar and lounge, and an all-day restaurant. Conrad Hilton’s legacy in the hotel industry began more than 105 years ago in Texas. The hotel’s more than 11, 000 square feet of spa and fitness center, which also has 10 treatment rooms and sports courts, can accommodate guests for a variety of activities, like swimming in the two resort-style pools, or relaxing in the kids club. A 4, 000-square-foot event barn and ample meeting space will also be provided for groups and events at Hilton. Multiroom resort villas will be available for guest rentals if they want more privacy. Each will have a private pool, an outdoor courtyard, and special programming. The Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country will be a part of the Hilton Honors loyalty program, which includes hotels in more than 7, 000 locations worldwide.
