The Tawny Hotel in Staffordshire is set to launch Falcon Farmhouse in July – the second in a series of new luxury serviced rentals, ‘The Fledglings’ which sit a stone’s throw from the hotel on the Basford Estate.
The new self-catered properties offer an alternative to the typical hotel experience. In the privacy of their own home, guests can enjoy a personalised service and tailor-made experiences, designed to go above and beyond a simple self-catered stay.
Tucked away in acres of woodland, the newly renovated Grade II Listed Falcon Farmhouse is the place for those seeking a “private home” with all the luxuries of a hotel.
Complete with its own outdoor spa bath, heated infinity pool, Big Green Egg BBQ, cinema room and a personalised concierge service, guests can expect a “seamless” getaway.
There’s also a choice of activities arranged by the hotel, including private yoga, foraging adventures, Kombucha workshops, chocolate masterclasses and forest bathing.
Falcon Farmhouse, which dates to the early 1800’s, has been restored in partnership with local design studio, Louise Platt Berkeley Bespoke Interiors.
The scheme is inspired by the woodland surroundings and a desire to retain the original features. Interior designer Louise Platt has combined natural materials, such as oak and rattan, with heritage colours and textures throughout, as well as soft furnishings that have been designed using archive-inspired fabric designs.
Sleeping six adults and two children, there are four bedrooms, three doubles and a children’s room with a bespoke built bunk bed and full wall mural of a “Magic Forest” by Borastapeter, illustrating an enchanted world populated by rabbits and fawns. Up to two dogs are welcome too.
