The World Travel & Tourism Council ( WTTC ) is hosting the most prestigious Travel &, Tourism event in Rome this year, marking a significant return to Europe after six years. Last year, the Global Summit was held in Perth, Western Australia. The Eternal City will host the 25th edition of the WTTC Global Summit from September 28 to September 2025 in Rome at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, the Italian National Tourist Board ( ENIT ), and with the participation of the Municipality of Rome and the Lazio Region. WTTC’s World Summit brings together business leaders, government representatives, and business pioneers to examine the most pressing issues and opportunities facing the global Journey &, Tourism sector, which is recognized as the most important annual event on the international travel &, tourism calendar. The 2025 World Summit will be a spectacular event with Rome as the scenery, highlighting the most recent developments in modern change, renewable tourism, and investment strategies, as well as discussions on the growing significance of technology in moving the sector forward. The classic city of Rome, one of the most well-known city destinations in the world, will be the perfect environment for our People, government representatives, and distinguished guests, who will come from all over the world, announced Julia Simpson, president and CEO of WTTC. I’m confident that Minister Santanchè and ENIT will host our world conference, which will be a magnificent function. It is with great excitement that we welcome to Rome the 25th WTTC Global Summit, an occurrence of international value that will identify the important part of tourism in the world economy, as Danielela Santanchè, Italy’s Minister of Tourism, said. Rome is the ideal setting for this conference because of its younger history and ability to draw visitors from all over the world. Italy is prepared to take advantage of this opportunity to advance sustainability, modern innovation, and experiential tourism, while maintaining its position as a leader in the tourism industry. We strongly believe that a conference like this will help to promote dialogue between the public and private sectors, encourage new investments, and ensure a prosperous future for our market, which is one of the main drivers of our nation’s business. We are convinced that this function will help raise the profile of Rome and Italy on the international tourism field. An impressive lineup of powerful speakers who have shaped international policy and influenced change have been a part of the Global Summit over the years. John Kerry, the 68th Secretary of State, delivered keynote addresses on pressing climate issues and the importance of responsible hospitality, as well as naturalist Robert Irwin, who captivated audiences with his insights into wildlife protection and the duty of the tourism industry to protect natural habitats. Attendees have the opportunity to hear from renowned speakers in previous years, including former US Presidents Bill Clinton and former UK Prime Minister Theresa May, David Cameron, Tony Blair, and former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. The 25th WTTC Global Summit will give attendees a global platform to showcase the most recent innovations and commitments to propeling the industry, keeping travel and tourism a key component of the global economy.
