The city of Valencia, Spain, will host the 35th edition  of the World Tourism Film Awards. Set to take place on the 22nd of November at the Auditorium  Mar Rojo in Oceanogràfic València, this event will be a celebration of the very best in global  tourism videos and advertisements in 2023.

The World Tourism Film Awards will bring to the city figureheads from the Tourism and  Audiovisual industries to receive the prestigious title of the “World’s Best Tourism Films of the  Year” in five thematic categories, including City, Region, and Country Promotion, Tourism  Products, and Tourism Services.

“We are very pleased that the organizers of the World Tourism Film Awards have once again  chosen Valencia for the presentation of their prestigious awards. It provides an opportunity for marketing and tourism promotion professionals to visit our city and get to know first-hand the  important work we are doing in this area, which is allowing us to position ourselves as a cutting edge destination”, said Paula Llobet, Valencia City Councillor for Tourism.

This edition marks the third consecutive year that Valencia hosts the World Tourism Film  Awards. With its rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and an unwavering  commitment to innovation in both tourism and audiovisual, Valencia stands as the ideal  backdrop for this exceptional event.

“The World Tourism Film Awards is a platform that not only celebrates innovation in tourism  communication but also inspires the industry to reach new heights. We are thrilled to be in  Valencia, a city known for its boundless enthusiasm for both tourism and filmmaking, to  recognize the World’s Best Tourism Films.”, said Alexander V. Kammel, CIFFT Director.

To reach the title of World’s Best Tourism Film, over 3,000 promotional videos from  approximately 50 countries participated in the CIFFT Circuit 2023, a unique competition that  brings together corporate and tourism film festivals around the world to award the best  audiovisual productions in the tourism industry.

In the previous year, the World Tourism Film Awards showcased the immense talent in tourism  video production. Among the winners were videos from Business Iceland, Qatar Tourism,  Tourism Australia, as well as Spanish productions from the Catalan Tourist Board, Madrid  Destino, Turismo Andalucía, and Visit Valencia, among others.

Organized by the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT), Visit Valencia,  and the Region of Valencia, this event has established itself as the premier platform for  recognizing excellence in the field of tourism video production. This year’s edition also counts  with the support of Oceanogràfic València and the Primus Hotel.
