Virgin Atlantic makes its first earnings following the pandemic.

As incomes increased by £183 million to a document$ 3.3 billion in the 2024 calendar year, the airline reported earnings before income and special items of £20 million. According to the airline’s annual results, passenger capacity growth of 7.6 %, continued demand for business and premium leisure travel, and the launch of” Unlimited Availability” reward seats for members of the Flying Club all contributed to this. Virgin Atlantic strengthened its balance sheet, ending the year with a money place of £443 million, up £37 million, including paying down £174 million of pandemic-related debts, as a result of the improved performance over 2023. Since 2022, the aircraft has paid down £500 million of debt incurred during the pandemic, and last year it successfully completed £485 million of loan borrowing on increased words. The airline reported that continued cost discipline helped it reach its highest ever earnings before interest and tax ( EBIT ) of £230 million, which is more than quadrupling the £48 million delivered in 2023, and spurred progress toward sustainable profitability. Virgin Atlantic Holidays, a girl tour company that carried 255, 000 holidaymakers, generated income of £517 million, an increase of 10 % over the same period in 2023. In 2024, Virgin Atlantic operated a fleet of 43 aviation and carried 5.6 million people with a weight element of 77.3 %. Despite “operational challenges,” a 98.6 % flight completion factor was achieved as a result of Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engines ‘ limited availability. With record revenues and operating profit achieved in our fortieth year, we returned to profitability for the first time since the pandemic, repaid a large portion of debt, and faced into operational challenges by taking decisive action, according to Chief Executive Shai Weiss ( pictured ).
