Wyck Hill House Hotel brought to market for £10m

Wyck Hill House Hotel in Gloucestershire, a country house that dates back to the 18th-Century, has been brought to market on behalf of private owners for a guide price of £10m.

Sitting in 42 acres of Cotswolds countryside, the hotel benefits from views of the grounds and woodlands, and offers an opportunity to “re-create one of the finest hotels boasting a gateway location to the most desirable parts of the Cotswolds”.

The heart of the estate is an historic Grade II-listed country house hotel dating back to the 18th Century, which features 59 bedrooms and spa facilities.

In addition, the property comes with a consented planning permission and listed building consent for external alterations and full refurbishment of the main building, the Coach House and the Orangery.

Ed Bellfield, regional director at Christie and Co, said: “Wyck Hill House Hotel offers an exciting opportunity for an imaginative buyer to become the latest custodian of one of the Cotswolds’ renowned hotel businesses.

“It is rare that a property of this magnitude, in such a desirable location, comes to the open market. The range of development opportunities present exciting potential for a new owner to improve the hotel facilities and create a destination venue of scale and character, within easy reach of London, Bristol and Birmingham.”

James Greenslade, director at Savills, added: “We expect to see interest from a range of potential purchasers who will be attracted by the scale of the opportunity, its accessible location and its proximity to the popular Cotswold villages of Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.”
