Yotel opens first European Yotelpad in London Stratford

Yotel has announced the launch of its first Yotelpad property in Europe with the official opening of Yotelpad London Stratford.

Designed to challenge “traditional” aparthotel spaces, Yotelpad prioritises smart design and connectivity at an affordable price point. It offers rooms in a range of layouts, which are bookable for one-night, one-month or even longer, providing guests with maximum flexibility.

The 62-key Yotelpad London Stratford is located in one of London’s rapidly growing neighbourhoods, attracting both business and leisure travellers alike. From the hotel’s location at the end of Stratford High Street, guests are just a short walk from leading shopping, entertainment, and sport destinations, as well as transport hubs that connect travellers to mainline stations, airports and central London.

The hotel is home to a 24-hour Mission Control – Yotel’s answer to a traditional reception, enabling guests to check-in independently through digital stations – a Grab and Go area, stocked with refreshments from local partners, as well laundry facilities and ample storage space.

The rooms, referred to as Pads, are home to “compact yet comfortable” sleeping and living areas, which include a smart bathroom, kitchenette, and work desk. Guests can also expect Yotel brand signatures, such as the SmartBed, mood lighting, super-fast WiFi, SmartTV and amenities from the beauty brand, Urban Jungle.

In addition, the new build-development has received an Excellent BREEAM rating, certifying that the property has been designed to optimise environmental performance, guest comfort and resource efficiency.

Sustainable initiatives can be found throughout the hotel, including occupancy sensors in the rooms and corridors to control lighting, air source heat pumps for hot water, MVHR ventilation system and heat recovery, and solar panels. Green roofs also help to absorb rainfall, by reducing runoff, while bird and bat boxes support biodiversity efforts in the area.

Hubert Viriot, CEO at YOTEL, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming our first guests at Yotelpad London Stratford this week, and to debut the brand outside of the US for the first time. It marks an exciting step for us, as we target growth for the Yotelpad brand globally, to meet the surging demand for flexible, extended stay accommodation worldwide.”
