Criterion Hospitality has announced the opening of Zedwell Greenwich, the third hotel dedicated to sleep and wellbeing in the Zedwell Hotels collection.
Housed in the glass structure of Cavatina Point and along the Greenwich Creekside, Zedwell Greenwich has been designed using state-of-the-art architectural insulation to provide the hotel brand’s signature windowless sleep concept.
Following the same principles as Zedwell Piccadilly and Zedwell Tottenham Court Road, the new hotel has been designed with psychologists and sleep specialists to support sleep, positive wellbeing and sustainability.
Located amidst the surroundings of London’s historic maritime district and close to the world-famous Cutty Sark, Zedwell Creekside’s unique triangular and shard-like all-glass structure pays homage to the area’s rich shipping heritage, and stands out as a beacon of modern architecture along the Greenwich Creekside skyline.
The hotel is home to 96 rooms for up to two guests and despite its sheer glass exterior, it maintains its distraction free and windowless experience for guests.
Darija Zivni-Aziz, head of interior design for Criterion Hospitality, said: “In staying true to our core brand values, we focus on delivering uninterrupted night’s sleep by eliminating external light and noise. Despite Zedwell Greenwich’s impressive all-glass exterior, its windowless rooms ensure superior insulation against external temperature variations.
“By incorporating a gap between the glass facade and room walls, we not only enhance thermal stability, but also improve energy efficiency. This deliberate design ensures the comfort of our guests but also minimises our carbon footprint, embodying the essence of Zedwell’s commitment to both sleep and sustainability.”
In line with Zedwell’s ethos of sustainability and wellbeing, the materials used throughout the hotel are either natural or recycled, recognising nature’s inherent ability to induce tranquillity.
