Milan Bergamo Airport welcomes Norwegian’s new summer routes

Milan Bergamo Airport celebrated the launch of two new seasonal summer routes by Norwegian, further expanding the airport’s growing network.

Starting 18 May, Norwegian commenced a two-weekly service to Stavanger on Norway’s southern coast, operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays until 28 September. Additionally, a three-weekly service to the Finnish capital of Helsinki was inaugurated on 2 June, with flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays until 24 October.

These new routes complement Norwegian’s existing services from Milan Bergamo to Bergen, Copenhagen, and Oslo, as well as a winter seasonal route to Tromso. With the introduction of these new flights, Norwegian will now operate a peak of thirteen weekly services from Milan Bergamo.

Giacomo Cattaneo, Director of Commercial Aviation, SACBO, said: “We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with Norwegian by adding flights to two exciting cities: Stavanger and Helsinki. These services enhance connectivity for leisure travellers seeking city breaks and unique cultural experiences. This expansion is a testament to our commitment to offering diverse and convenient travel options for our passengers.”

Stavanger, known for its stunning fjords and vibrant cultural scene, is a gateway to Norway’s natural wonders, making it a perfect destination for adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts. Helsinki offers a mix of cutting-edge design, rich history, and a dynamic urban environment, appealing to both tourists and business travellers.

These new routes will significantly benefit tourism by providing more options for travellers looking to explore Northern Europe’s unique destinations. The addition of Stavanger and Helsinki flights will also attract more visitors to Milan Bergamo, enhancing its position as an important European travel hub.

Milan Bergamo Airport continues to expand its network, aiming to provide passengers with more choices and greater convenience. The introduction of these new services is part of the airport’s strategic plan to grow and diversify its route offerings, ensuring that it remains at the forefront of Italy’s air connectivity.
