Beginning July 1st, Aeromexico will commence daily nonstop flights between Mexico City International Airport (MEX) and Tampa International Airport (TPA), Florida. The flight route will be operated using Embraer 190 planes equipped with 99 seats, including 11 seats in Aeromexico’s Clase Premier premium cabin. Additionally, this new service will provide connections through Mexico City to access Aeromexico’s domestic network.
Tampa will be a new addition to Aeromexico‘s list of 23 cities served in the United States. This expansion is part of a larger plan to increase presence in Mexico’s biggest air service market. In Florida, Tampa will be the third city to be served by Aeromexico, alongside Miami and Orlando. Together, these three airports will offer up to 400 monthly arrivals and departures, with a capacity of 75,000 monthly seats.
Tampa is a part of Florida’s second-largest metropolitan area, which offers a diverse range of attractions. These include Busch Gardens, The Florida Aquarium, and ZooTampa at Lowry Park. Additionally, the Gulf Coast beaches of St. Pete and Clearwater provide further allure.
The Aeromexico-Delta Alliance has connected over 45 million passengers between Mexico and the United States since 2017. They have utilized enhanced services like check-in via SkyTeam’s Digital Spine technology, free onboard messaging (available on specific aircraft), and standardized baggage policies. These benefits have improved the overall travel experience for passengers.
