UK: Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam, organised by Montgomery Group, returns next week on 12-13th March, held at RAI Amsterdam.
In its fourth year of running, the theme for this year’s IHS Amsterdam is ‘Dreamland’. Visitors are encouraged to “take a respite from the ordinary and experience a dreamland of trend exploration, product innovation and networking”.
Event manager Tess Suters explained: “Today’s hotel guest wants to be surprised by a combination of luxury and creativity. And that naturally also applies to the visitors to our event. We asked our designers to create a dreamworld where hoteliers are taken out of their daily reality for a moment and can be inspired.
“In any case, we live in a world where fantasy and reality are increasingly merging, partly due to artificial intelligence. This is a subject that will certainly also be covered in our extensive seminar programme, which is a hot topic hoteliers and designers want to explore further.”
Two stages will host a series of keynote presentations, panel discussions and interviews across a range of topics including sustainability, technology, marketing, staffing and HR, and revenue-management. Trend predictions will also be revealed on future travel and spending behaviours of hotel guests.
Returning this year is the Independent Hotel Show Awards, sponsored by Hotek. The awards are open to independent hotels across the Benelux region and Germany, and the winners are set to be revealed at the end of day one.
Award categories include Independent Hotelier of the Year, Independent Hotel of the Year, Best Hotel Design of the Year, and Hotel Website of the Year.
Networking sessions for HR professionals, designers and hoteliers will also be held throughout the course of the event.
