Staybridge Suites Newcastle unveils first look of £1.8m refurb

Staybridge Suites Newcastle, one of the city’s first serviced apartments, has shared a first look at the new rooms while a £1.8m refurbishment project is underway.

Situated in the city’s Quayside area, Staybridge Suites Newcastle has been providing guests a stay in the city since first opening in 2009.

The refurbishment project, scheduled for completion at the end of May 2024, sees the renovation of 108 suites, following an upgrade of the public areas and 20 suites in 2019.

With build partners Abrahams and Carlisle and design services from ADS Design and Brand Development Ltd, this upgrade reaffirms the apartments’ commitment to” outstanding guest experience”, offering guests a modernised and enhanced stay.

As part of the hotel’s pledge to sustainability and landfill reduction, Staybridge Suites Newcastle has also incorporated eco-friendly features throughout the ongoing project, with a significant proportion of the original furniture repurposed locally.

General manager Lisa Crocker said: “We are thrilled to share the progress of our refurbishment at Staybridge Suites Newcastle. Our hotel has retained a top two position on Tripadvisor ever since opening, and the new-look apartments which are incredibly bright and welcoming will help us keep happy guests returning.

“The team and I are incredibly proud of the new-look apartments, and we can’t wait to welcome new and familiar faces to Staybridge Suites Newcastle.”
